Angie Miller American Idol and The Voice

Angie Miller
I have enjoyed American Idol over the years and Angie Miller was special however watching "The Voice" this Spring is like a breath of fresh air in comparison. I have stated repeatedly that the American Idol judges, the producers and Jimmy Iovine did a terrible job this year casting every contestant in a constant unfavorable fog except for their love pet Candice Glover. In comparison on the Voice every contestant is treated fairly and no favorites are preordained winner like Candice. American Idol needs to seriously look at their show. Simply put, The Voice has been fun to watch this Spring, while watching American Idol this Spring was a drudgery except when Angie Miller performed and brought the stage to life.Watch Angie Miller perform "Bring Me To Life" our # 1 Angie Miller performance on American Idol.

Angie Miller Official Website for this Future Superstar American Idol

Angie Miller Website
Angie Miller Official Website
If you are searching for Angie Millers Official Website it features links to her Twitter, Facebook and YouTube accounts. In the near future it will release information about Angie Miller's future in music. One of the best things I have heard from Angie is her unwillingness to categorize her music. Just like Kelly Clarkson Angie Miller loves all kind of music including Pop, Rock, Ballads, Soul and I be she can even do country. It still is shocking that Angie Miller will not be part of the American Idol final competition tomorrow Tuesday. Angie has dominated the YouTube views, has more Twitter followers than Candice or Kree and it still seems amazing that she is not in the final. Of the three only Angie Miller was contemporary, Candice and Kree could have never attempted the songs that Angie knocked out of the park. Angie Miller's ability to handle so many hard songs so easily was constantly overlooked. As stated the great ones always make it look easy and Angie Miller is a future superstar and one of the great ones. Currently Angie Miller's top rated video remains her own song "Set You Free" at almost 4 million view and coming in second is "Who You Are" with 1.2 million views.

Angie Miller "Try" Better than Pink Cracks Top 5 Best Performances on American Idol

Angie Miller Try American Idol
Angie Miller "Try" American Idol
Since Angie Miller began performing on American Idol I have rated her  Top 5 Best Performances on American Idol. With Angie's 3 songs from last week my favorite has to be "Try" by Pink and now by Angie Miller. With Pinks original of "Try" as the standard to be met, as usual Angie once more outperformed the original by Pink. She hit all the money notes easily and added her own original notes as well making her version better than Pinks. As stated before Angie Miller possesses incredible stage presence, in fact she commands the stage with every performance. This was so evident especially in her presentation of "Try" and that is why I have placed it at #2 in my top 5 Angie Miller performances on American Idol. First the performance is fun, next it is exciting, the vocals are spot on and most important Angie Miller would drive fans crazy if she did it in concert. Like Bring Me to Life Angie Miller's performance of "Try" is exciting, and comes in # 2 on my Angie Miller Best Performances on American Idol. Angie performed all of her song selections so easily it went totally unnoticed by the judges as if it was expected standard operating procedure, it's not. Whenever you judge the best singers against all the rest you find the best do it so easily they make it look easy. This was an extremely hard song to sing and perform, Angie Miller did it easily and made it look easy, it wasn't, it was though the test of a true future superstar, Angie Miller.

Angie Miller Brought Excitement to American Idol - Happy Mother's Day

Angie Miller Someone to Watch Over Me
Angie Miller "Someone To Watch Over Me"
According to Billboard and Just Jared Adam Lambert will duet with Angie Miller. Adam Lambert will be on American Idol this Thursday night as confirmed by his site and American Idol however there is no confirmation that Adam Lambert will duet with Angie Miller. We will have to wait to see if it actually happens. That performance will be the only thing worth watching. The American Idol ads trying to excite the TV audience about the finale between Candice and Kree are falling as flat as the show will certainly be without Angie Miller. Angie brought excitement to the show that neither Candice or Kree can provide. In her interview after the show Candice admitted that she first of all was surprised at the results but mainly stated how much energy and excitement Angie not only brought to the show but also to her own performances. From what I have witnessed Candice and Kree can't provide enough energy on their own to light a flashlight. To make up for the total lack of excitement provided by Candice or Kree American Idol will undoubtedly supply their usual gimmick tricks including smoke, lights, church choir singers, crazy violin players, lasers and anything else necessary to make it appear as if we should be excited. If The Voice is on Wednesday night again as it was last week we will be watching The Voice instead of suffering through the so called American Idol competition eh hem between Kree and already anointed American Idol champion Candice. We will turn in again on Thursday night mainly to listen and watch Angie perform a duet as rumored with Adam Lambert. Today is Mother's Day so it is the perfect time to re watch Angie singing "Someone To Watch Over Me" which she sang for her Mom which was well documented in the pre song bio.  This performance provided the perfect backdrop for Keith Urban to ask the most air headed question of the show asking Angie why she chose that song. As stated in my blog for that show everyone in the world except for Keith Urban knew Angie had sung that song for her MOM. Happy Mother's Day. Knock Knock Wake up, Hey Keith its Mothers Day.

Angie Miller Shocker - Angie Miller SHOULD HAVE WON American Idol

    Angie Miller American Idol
Angie Miller  "Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word"
In a total shock American Idol lost Angie Miller tonight, the best chance the show has had in 12 years to find another true POP/ROCK star who can take over after Kelly Clarkson. Somehow, someway American Idol put in the fix to get her off the show so they can roll out the red carpet for Candice who has no chance of any type of career after Idol. Just ask the list of people just like Candice who have had limited at best SINGING careers. Tamyra Gray, Christina Christian, Kimberly Locke, Trenyce, Rueben Studdard, Fantasia, LaToya London, Jennifer Hudson, Nadia Turner, Mandisa, Jordan Sparks, Melinda Doolittle, Syesha Macardo, Jasmine Murray all who like Candice have no market for their go to church style of singing songs after they leave American Idol. Speaking of killing the goose that can lay the golden eggs at a record producers door, that is what America Idol did this season in getting Angie Miller out of the way. The blame can be laid directly at the feet of the producers,  the judges and Jimmy Lovine who helped orchestrate this waltz into the finals for Candice. No wonder the American Idol ratings are taking a nose dive.

"I should have known this was up when personally I wasn't able to vote online at American Idol for Angie Miller for the first 30 minutes last night."

Wait till next week, American Idol is almost guaranteed their lowest rated final of all time without Angie Miller. That along with news that Randy Jackson is gone along with all the current judges the future for the show does not look bright. The producers, the judges, and Jimmy Lovine had the future foundation of the show in their hands with Angie Miller and they were all to stupid to realize it. As the saying goes, American Idol stepped over the $100 bill to pick up a nickel. As stated Angie Miller should not only be going to the final she should be the WINNER. Jimmy Lovine decision to back Candice will certainly be questioned in the future. Angie Miller's career in the long run is still to come as with Chris Daughtry. His career took off after Idol and he was shocking let go Top 4 to eventual winner Taylor Hicks... cough, cough,  great SINGING career cough cough. Angie still represents the best POP/ROCK singer on Idol since Kelly Clarkson.

Angie Milller American Idol The Importance of Winning

Angie Miller Goal Win American Idol - The Importance of Winning

    Angie Miller American Idol
    Angie Miller Goal American Idol
Every year on American Idol the judges lavish the contestants with praise rightfully or not telling them that even though they have been voted off they still have a career. On Idol the contestants should always remember, "Don't believe the hype". This is probably the one thing about American Idol that is most bothersome. It is the smoke constantly being blown in the direction of the contestants telling them that they are going to be huge stars, with sold out concerts and platinum record sales. The fact is and history bears this out, of the roughly 1.5 million people who have tried out for Idol only two have achieved that status, Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood have hit records, concert tours and a long term career. It is so tough at the top even these two have a tough time competing in the real world of the music business. Since the judges won’t say it, I will, Amber has almost zero chance of platinum selling records, having sold out concerts and getting a star on the Hollywood walk of fame. Like early Simon would say to Paula, if you love them so much you put your money behind them. I am not being mean it is just the way it is. Amber cannot even begin to compete with the Rihanna’s and Beyonce’s in the real music world. If she could people would be streaming to see Jennifer Hudson who has a much better voice than Amber’s and yet Jennifer cannot break into the music business with hits and concert tours. Unfortunately Jennifer Hudson best avenue has been as spokeswoman for Weight Watchers. Reality check, that praise is smoke, American Idol hype or whatever you want to call it. Think quick who what is the name of the country girl voted off before Amber. I honestly will have to look it up because already I can remember her face but not her name. That shows how after Idol the contestants value drops exponentially. This shows that if anyone has any chance of truly having a career after American Idol it is paramount that first you win Idol. This is why voters wanting to see Angie Miller win American Idol cannot sit idle. It is time to turn it up.

American Idol Top 4 Take 2 review.

The most likely same contestant was finally eliminated and that of course was Amber. In reality Amber could have gone out before, what’s her name, see how quickly they become history, the country girl, somebody help me, Janelle, right that’s it thanks. The judges must have heard something in the TV studio with Amber that doesn’t come across at home or when I listen to it back on headphones because Amber is quite often off center on several notes, usually on the flat side.

Angie Miller Top 3 American Idol - Angie Miller Homecoming Video

Angie Miller American Idol Top 3
On last Thursday Night Angie Miller made the Top 3 of American Idol. Angie is definitely deserved and hopefully will make it all the way to the top. Time to bring it up and win American Idol. Pop Rock has not had a new female American Idol since Kelly Clarkson. Angie Miller could definitely capture an audience with her presentation, songs, and song writing. This week is Angie Miller Homecoming so it should be very interesting, but, it must be exhausting. How the contestants fly cross country twice, learn new songs, meet all those people and always be ON is amazing, however, Angie better than Candice and Cree seems anxious, ready and actually is looking foward to the challenge. That is why Angie should be the next American Idol. Watch Angie Miller Homecoming Videos of  "You Set Me Free" and "Titanium".

Angie Miller "Who You Are" Review American Idol Top 4

    Angie Miller American Idol
    Angie Miller "Who You Are"
Angie Miller performed "Who You Are" this past week on American Idol. What can I say, another amazing performance by Angie Miller. I am not a big fan of the song but when someone like Angie sings it as well as she sang it, the performance wins you over and you end up liking a song you didn't like that much previously. My favorite part of the song is when Angie sings "no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no as she goes up the scale of notes in her voice. At another point in the song I also heard a Taylor Swift like moment, see if you can find that moment in the song. Also it is evident that Angie is working very hard on her presentation primarily in finding a little more edge to the presentation and less of the "beauty queen" to quote Jimmy Lovine's observation. According to views on American Idol's You Tube Channel people love this song. Currently Angie has 680,000 views which is over 5 times more views than next closest which is a virtual tie between Candice's first song and Angie's 2nd song "Cry Me a River". As usual Angie dominates You Tube with her performances and "Who You Are" was definitely one of her best and could easily crack my new Top 5 best performances by Angie Miller this year coming out Wednesday. To summarize Angie's performance of "Who You Are" was definitely the performance of the night, there is no question, every time Angie is at the piano it is definitely something special. Every time I listen to it I like it more, that is the mark of a great song and a phenomenal performance.

Angie Miller's # 1 Top Performance on American Idol is "Bring Me To Life"

    Angie Miller American Idol
Angie Miller "Bring Me To Life" American Idol
Angie Miller has created already such an amazing library of performances they needed a Top 5 list. Today I announce Angie's best performance to date -  this week's performances not included.
Angie Miller's # 1 American Idol Top Performance

    "Bring Me To Life"

Yes, Bring Me to Life is Angie's best performance so far on Idol. Why, simple if I went to see Angie in concert what song would be her best so far and it would have to be "Bring Me To Life" In this song Angie starts on piano and then moves to stage center front combining the best of both areas for presentation. My favorite part of this song is Angie's fist pump starting the rock part of the song plus her money notes when she pulls the trigger on that amazing voice. These moments in the song make it her #1 best performance. Angie is in essence with her fist pump and presentation is saying, "hey world I am so much more than a chick singing behind a piano." Angie has huge center stage presence.when she stands and it is amazing the judges haven't commented on how Angie commands the stage. That song is so concert ready or music video ready right now and with Orianthe complementing Angie on guitar it feels like a concert climax. Watch "Bring Me To Life" again video below and see if you don't agree, Angie is awesome on this song. This song truly brought Angie to life on the American Idol live show and demonstrated her wide range of versatility. Angie can Rock, Ballad, dip into Blues like she did briefly in Halo and I have no doubt she can even dip into Country. No one on IDOL since Kelly Clarkson has had this much versatility. You can also compare Angie's "Bring Me to Life" with the original by Evanescence video below. This is an incredibly hard song and once again Angie's is better.

Angie Miller Top Performances on American Idol # 2

    Angie Miller American Idol
    Angie Miller American Idol
Angie Miller continues to amaze fans with her constant stream of great songs on American Idol. It is time to rate them so far, so I have done that prior to this weeks performances. Up to that point as promised today I would reveal Angie Miller's 2nd best performance.  Angie Miller's 2nd best performance up to last week was "I'll Stand By You". On the heels of the tragedy in Boston plus Angie hailing from the nearby town of Beverly Massachusetts she gave an incredible performance. Returning to the piano Angie's "I'll Stand By You" song builds, ebbs, flows and Angie Miller captures the mood of the song and the moment perfectly.

Angie Miller American Idol Top Performances # 3

    Angie Miller American Idol
Angie Miller is certainly creating a library of amazing performances. I have rated them # 1 to  # 5 as of last weeks competition. I will adjust the top 5 performances once the list completes on Saturday and with Angie incredible performances last night there will be changes.

Angie Miller American Idol Top Performance

     # 3 is"Yesterday"

This is one of the classics of all time and no one ever attempts, let me repeat that (NO ONE EVER ATTEMPTS) "Yesterday" because of it's high level of difficulty and how can you compare to Paul McCartney's The Beatles version of Yesterday. However Angie not only sang it she blew it out of the water. Angie easily sings "Yesterday" better than even (sorry Paul) Paul McCartney which I don't believe has ever been done. To fully appreciate Angie's Yesterday you need to listen with headphones. With Angie's version of Yesterday, she takes you places during the song you have never been before and it is a great experience. Listen to Angie's Yesterday video below with your eyes closed it is truly a gem. then compare it to Paul McCartney's best performance of "Yesterday" so you can compare. Tell me if you think I'm wrong.

Angie Miller is about to perform in American Idol Top 4 Season 12. It is a great time right now to reflect back on her past American Idol performances and rate the in a top 5. In my last article I rated "You Set Me Free" as her fifth best performance so far on Idol. Today  it is time to reveal her 4th best performance so far on American Idol. Listen with headphones.

Angie Miller American Idol Top 4 Review

Angie Miller makes top 4. Another rung up the ladder for Angie Miller on her way to possibly becoming the next American Idol. The title of the first idol was American Idol "Search for a Superstar" Angie Miller is the only one this year with the potential of becoming a Superstar.

    1. First the Donna Summer group song was not good. Who ever chose that for an American Idol top 5 medley made a terrible song choice. None of the individual girls were given a verse that could be sung well, ie the song fell flat. Hopefully whoever chose that song doesn't put in their two cents when the competitors choose their song.

2.Jimmy Lovine makes good comments but he is also way off base. Angie's performance of "Halo was stellar on this I agree with Nicki. I can't believe that Jimmy keeps finding ways to knock Angie, Angie is Jimmy Lovine's meal ticket for the next ten years but he has to really start listening to Angie instead of having a love fest with Candice every time she sings. Candice can sing but what if she wins, is she going to be the next Fantasia? uh probably. Even Jennifer Hudson who is way better than Fantasia has trouble finding a market for her songs.

    3. Clay Aiken - his BoTW song came across weird and it was uncomfortable looking at Clay, maybe some work  - his famous "Bridge of Troubled Waters" from 10 years ago was amazing. See video below.

    4. Fantasia - not good - never ever heard a singer calling out here comes the "chorus" here comes the "bridge" when those two parts enter the song came up, hopefully she wasn't reading her cue cards.

    Listen with headphones.

Angie Miller Halo Review Diva Song Choice American Idol Top 5

    Angela Miller American Idol
Last night for Angie Miller's second Diva song she chose "Halo" by Beyonce. Upon hearing her American Idol Diva Song Choice was "Halo" I thought hmmm but after hearing Angie nail it, I changed that opinion to great choice. I have listened to it back several times and each time I pick up something new. She did it great and her presentation was flawless. The feeling of the song was similar to hearing Beyonce but it was different and better in a lot of ways. A note up or down where there wasn't one before and a soulful sound toward the end I have never heard from Angie before. Great song, great song choice, listen to it with headphones and it is incredible.
I  keep making comparisms between Kelly Clarkson and Angie Miller. Without doubt, Angie is by far the best AI Pop Rock hopeful ever since KC. All the competitors are doing great it all seems to come down to do you like country, R & B, or Pop Rock. I like Pop Rock so obviously for people who are looking for the next Kelly Clarkson Angie is by far the best chance for a Pop Rock Idol Winner in over 10 years. If you want to see the standard and bar that every AI contestant has had to measure themselves to watch Kelly Clarkson do "Without You" below, it is truly incredible. As for Amber doing "Without You" last night, it isn't even close to Kelly Clarkson doing Without You and yes it is also way better than Mariah Carey's version too, sorry Mariah, you have to bow to Kelly on that one.

    Listen with headphones.
