Happy Father's Day!

Today is a day that is dedicated to the Fathers that have lovingly cared for and nurtured those who came from your loins and have enough love in your heart to step in to the role of a father for those who were fatherless. Because of you - be it an older brother, uncle, cousin or neighborhood friend - you helped make life easier and helped a child to see that they are blessings; you were there when a little girl needed a Dad and you were there when a boy needed a role model and a super hero - yes, today is about celebrating you. May you reap blessings 1,000 fold.

I solute you!

Love,
C

Kevon Edmonds Performs to a Full House at Stevie's Creole Cafe

When I found out that Kevon Edmonds - A James Strong Production - was performing at Stevie's Creole Cafe in Encino - I simply had to get tickets!*

Just thinking about Kevon Edmonds made me so glad to know that he was performing in Encino, CA - a drive over the hill to the Valley. Kevon did a tribute to the late Ollie Woodson, singing Luther VanDross's song, "So Amazing" and it just made the audience give him a standing ovation! Kevon is truly a talent that has shown that quality beats quantity any day.

It is so nice how The Big Easy is so well represented by Stevie's Creole Cafe in Encino. Can I just tell you that Vickie D., Michelle and Kristin were three very professional staff members that gave OUTSTANDING Customer Service. The owner of the restaurant took the time to stop at every table and make everyone feel right at home. It was wonderful!
Vickie D., made sure that I was seated in a place that allowed me to look directly at Kevon Edmonds while on stage performing - yes! The food was excellent. When I tell you that the BEST Creole food is in Encino, believe me!

Kevon performed songs from his 24/7 CD, as well as his newest CD entitled "Who Knew" - his mellifluous Tenor voice was in perfect pitch. Oh, Kevon Edmonds had the entire audience swooning. People were standing up and singing along with the songs and some were actually screaming when he sang the songs, "24/7" , "I'm Not Use(to no love)"

"Who Knew" and then stop on by Stevie's Creole Cafe in Encino, eat a good meal and even take home some of their Peach Cobbler to eat later while you and your significant other listen to your newly purchased CD....

Diana Ross - More Today Than Yesterday Tour - AMAZING!

It was a full house - and Diana Ross was fab-u-lous and the Bob Mackie Design Group,Ltd is still putting it down - GO BOB MACKIE - Do your thing!

Diana Ross - The Boss - still has it Darling.

Last evening, Leonard and I had dinner at The Farm of Beverly Hills and then attended the much awaited and anticipated Diana Ross - More Today Than Yesterday concert at The Nokia Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles.

The Live horn and string section was spectacular. It was as if they musicians were making love to the audience. Her back up singers were oh so harmonious with the eloquent Ms. Ross .
Performing all of her greatest hits, including photos of all of her Hitsville USA Family from Motown in the back drop while she sang - The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Smokie Robinson and the Miracles, The Vandellas, Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell, The Jackson 5, just to name a few - oh, it was like a dream sequence - everyone stayed on their feet, just dancing in the aisles and at their seats.

It was so touching when I read in the program that the concert series was dedicated to The King of Pop, Michael Jackson ( R.I.P.). The first song that she dedicated to Michael Jackson was "Missing You". The photos of Michael Jackson in the backdrop were so perfect, so beautiful, and the songs that Ms. Ross performed made so many of us tear up. Michael Jackson's two children were there as well. Mr. Berry Gordy was there as well and I had the pleasure of meeting him back stage - thanks to those fabulous VIP backstage passes that were given to me.

Stephen Lovekin, you captured the essence of Ms. Ross' beauty - the world over thanks you!

Don't blame me if you miss out on seeing the beautiful American Icon, Diana Ross. I can lead you to the water, but I can't make you drink!
