Denita and William phoned me up Saturday and wanted to know if I wanted to hang out with them. Sure, I said. What's on the agenda? We went to Gogosian Art Gallery on Rexford Dr., (456. N. Camden Dr.310.271.9400 http://www.gagosian.com/) Currently featuring the works of Anselm Keifer , Entitled First Baptist Church Gym. It disturbed me a bit, but I think that is the effect that he wanted...
Then on to something that we all know we think about every now and then. Where can you get a great hot dog?
Well, you know Denita and William lived in Brooklyn for many years, and sometimes they get a little home sick for a real New York style hot dog.
Yes, you know the kind with souerkraut and grilled onions and mustard - or just plain and simple. There is nothing better than a good hot dog with a snap to it when you bite into it! We decided to pop in to Marty D's hot dog and desserts, located at 230 S. Beverly Drive, between Charleville and Gregory Way.310.273.7771. We popped in and had cuban style hot dogs. Denita had chicken dogs. The fries were really good, and the ice cream that Denita and William ordered - a scoop of Espresso ice cream - was soooo good. I ordered Butter Pecan (Dandy Don's) oooh weeee! It was rich and delicious! If you get a moment, and want a great New York style hot dog, please pop into Marty D's where the slogan is, "If it ain't eight inches, it ain't Marty D's."
